Fort Wayne, Ind. – Fort Wayne FC showcased their superiority on a sunny afternoon at Bishop D’arcy Stadium, delivering a stunning 4-0 win over Buffalo FC. The home team secured an early advantage by scoring three goals within the first 22 minutes. The commanding performance not only replicated their previous 4-0 victory over Buffalo FC one month ago but also highlighted Fort Wayne FC’s amazing form.
From the opening whistle, Fort WayneC took control of the match, displaying their attacking arsenal. Aleksander Mihov made an impressive debut, finding the back of the net with just eight minutes on the clock, wisely finishing a cross delivered by Rodrigo Parafita. The team’s momentum continued as Seth Antwi doubled the lead in the 18th minute, tapping in a precise cross from Tom Abrahamsson. Not content with just one goal, Antwi struck again 3 minutes later, heading the ball into the net following a well-placed cross from Gijs Hovius.
After the frenetic start, Fort Wayne gradually eased their intensity but maintained control over the game. Although Buffalo managed to create a few clear chances to score on counter-attacking opportunities, the defensive efforts of Parafita, Tiago Dias, and Shafique Wilson denied any scoring chances Buffalo produced, with crucial tackles and saves.
In the 76th minute, Fort Wayne FC put the game beyond reach as Tiago Dias scored his 1st goal of the season and the 4th goal of the game. After a great save by Buffalo’s goalkeeper, Jamie Barry, the ball was bouncing inside the box and Dias was there to make sure it was going to the back of the net.
The goal added the finishing touch to an outstanding performance, delighting the many families who had chosen the match as a way to celebrate Father’s Day.
