Fort Wayne Football Club made two additions to the roster Friday – midfielder Logan Neidlinger and forward Kameron Lacey – and they will be available to participate in Saturday night’s 7 p.m. match at Portland Hearts of Pine.
Neidlinger, a native of Indianapolis, arrived on loan from USL Championship-side Indy Eleven and is the first player Fort Wayne FC has received on loan since joining the professional ranks of USL League One this year.
“I’m excited for this new challenge and am ready to help the team,” Neidlinger said. “I’m ready to get started and do whatever I can to help us be successful.”
Lacey, also experienced at the USL Championship level, signed a contract that runs through this season.
“I’m excited to join Fort Wayne FC and am grateful to God for this opportunity,” Lacey said. “I’m ready to work hard, contribute to the team, and help the club finish the season strong.”
Further terms of Neidlinger’s and Lacey’s transactions weren’t disclosed and both additions are pending league and federation approval.
Neidlinger, 20, joined the Indy Eleven Academy in 2021 and helped the U-20 team win three consecutive USL Academy Cups, teaming with current Fort Wayne FC player Kabiru Gafar.
Neidlinger signed an academy contract with the senior level team in 2024 and is the youngest Indy Eleven player to appear in a match and to score a goal, which he did Aug. 11, 2024, against New Mexico United. He played in 16 matches that year, across all competitions, and had an assist.
In 2025, Neidlinger played another nine matches with Indy Eleven and, this year, he appeared in 18 with one assist.
“We are excited to welcome Logan to Fort Wayne,” Fort Wayne FC coach Mike Avery said. “Logan is a talented young player who has already accomplished a lot in his career, and a player who has a very bright future. Logan is a versatile player who can play as an outside back or a midfielder, and he provides us some immediate help in this very busy and important stretch of the season.”
Neidlinger was in the starting lineup for the first ever Victory & Liberty Derby between Indy Eleven and Fort Wayne FC on May 16. The Prinx Tires USL Cup match at Ruoff Mortgage Stadium was tied at 2 after regulation time, though Indy Eleven took the extra group-stage points in penalty kicks.
Lacey, 25, earned 16 matches of experience at the USL Championship level with San Antonio FC in 2024, when he totaled three assists. He also appeared in a 2025 USL Cup match with Birmingham Legion FC.
In USL League One, Lacey played 10 matches with Lexington SC in 2024, scoring a goal.
Originally from Miami, Lacey played in the FC Dallas and Orlando City academies. He also played for Jamaica’s U-20 and U-17 teams at the international level.
He played college soccer for the Charlotte 49ers and totaled 17 goals and 14 assists in 58 matches between 2019 and 2022. In his final season, he was selected First Team All-American Conference and Second Team All-East Region.
“Kameron has been with us for a few weeks as a trialist and has earned this opportunity,” Avery said. “Kameron is an experienced striker. He is a strong and physical striker who creates chances, not only for himself but for others. Kameron excels in his hold-up play, which will provide space to our attackers coming underneath to get on the ball looking at goal.”
Fort Wayne FC’s match on Saturday will be only its second since striker Lilian Ricol was sold to USL Championship’s San Antonio FC on Aug. 14. Ryan Becher, who replaced him in the starting lineup, scored in the 2-1 loss to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Aug. 15.
“As Lilian Ricol has moved on to San Antonio, we needed to get some positional support for Ryan Becher,” Avery said. “We like what Kameron can bring to Fort Wayne down the stretch of the season.”
Lacey was selected 82nd overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas, but he didn’t sign with the club. He joined MLS Next Pro’s Minnesota United 2 in 2023 and played in 20 matches, scoring 10 goals with two assists.
Lacey also has experience at the USL League Two level with Asheville City, scoring a goal for them in 2026.
