Fort Wayne, Ind. — Fort Wayne FC and the University of St. Francis today announce a partnership bringing FWFC professional soccer to a new home at Bishop John D’Arcy Stadium.
The two-year agreement between FWFC and USF comprises of all home matches being played on Kevin Donley Field at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium and use of field for other FWFC-related events. USF recently invested in stadium updates including new turf and the addition of premier luxury suites. In addition, Fort Wayne FC’s principal owner, Mark Music, will donate a prominent, new HD state-of-the-art video board to replace the existing scoreboard.
“The transformational enhancements made at USF plus the opportunity for us to move closer to downtown helped drive this partnership,” commented Laurie Perolio-Bullinger, Fort Wayne FC’s director of operations. “With ample parking, digital video board, and additional space available for fan amenities, we can elevate immersive fan engagement at all Fort Wayne FC home matches. For us, it’s all about creating the ultimate fan experience,” added Perolio-Bullinger.
“This is a huge step for Fort Wayne FC to become a full professional soccer team in the near future. The University of Saint Francis has opened up its doors to our club to continue to grow in the right direction and we could not be happier to partner with such a top-class institution,” stated DaMarcus Beasley, Fort Wayne FC owner and director of sports operations.
